Welcome to Walter Young Mazda
![]() Once upon a time in 1888 a school was built in the quiet leafy village of Broughshane. The school taught all the children for miles around not only educational things but all about values. Later in the nineteen sixties after serving the community for three quarters of a century the school closed its doors. However in 1971 the school once again became a centre for values and of great service to the community when Walter Young established a motor car dealership on said premises. At that time the Since then the business has grown to become synonymous with the town and “Garden Village of Ulster” that is Broughshane (well that and the Thatch Inn). 37 years have gone past and Walter Young Ltd is still renowned for customer service having been awarded the Prestigious President’s Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Customer Satisfaction” for the third year in a row. No mean feat considering this is a European award from the president of the Mazda Corporation. But stand fast and know that as the company of Walter Young Ltd has aged so have the staff a bit older, a bit more gray, but the brothers Douglas, Alex and Norman are still stalwarts of the company maintaining the values and service to the community taught to them in the “old school in Broughshane” by the late Walter Young. ![]()
